These split crotch pants allow easy pottying in "classic position" for babies, or toddlers to use the potty without assistance.  The cotton fabric makes them nice and cool for summer but with enough coverage for a cooler evening.  The firmer fabric also means that when the baby or toddler squats the crotch really does get out of the way instead of just stretching at the knee.
